Microsoft’s been cooking up some seriously cool stuff with their AI assistant, Copilot. They’ve just rolled out a bunch of new features that might change the way we work. Let’s dive in and see what’s new!
Microsoft’s been busy as a bee with Copilot. They’ve added over 150 new features since it first showed up. That’s a lot of new tricks! And people are loving it. Copilot customers grew by more than 60% in just three months. Plus, twice as many folks are using it at work every day now.
But wait, there’s more! They’ve souped up Copilot with something called GPT-4o. Now it’s twice as fast and people are three times happier with it. That’s like going from a bicycle to a sports car!
One of the cool new tools is called BizChat. It’s like having a super smart coworker who never sleeps. BizChat can dig through all your work stuff – documents, emails, calendars, you name it. It even pulls in info from the internet to help you out.
Want to give it a spin? You’ll need a Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription. It’ll set you back $360 a year. Sounds pricey, but if you’re drowning in work, it might be worth every penny. You can even pin Copilot to your workflow in the Microsoft 365 app. Soon, you’ll be able to do the same in Outlook and Teams.
Ever had a great idea but forgot to write it down? Copilot Pages has got your back. Microsoft calls it “the first digital artifact for the AI era.” Fancy words, huh? Basically, it turns your Copilot chats into shareable pages. You can tag your coworkers and use them for follow-ups, just like a regular document.
There’s a nifty “Edit in Pages” button at the bottom of your chat window. Or you can ask Copilot to use an old document as a starting point for a new one. It’s like having a personal secretary who remembers everything you’ve ever said. And guess what? This cool feature is coming to the free version of Copilot too!
Now, this is where things get really interesting. Copilot Agents let you build your own AI helpers. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a computer whiz to do it. Microsoft made it super easy with a new Copilot Studio interface.
There’s a “Build Copilot Agent” button that lets you create agents to automate your business processes. These agents use your company’s data in SharePoint to get things done. Microsoft’s rolling this out to everyone by October.
Microsoft didn’t stop there. They’ve sprinkled some Copilot magic into other apps too:
In Excel, Copilot can suggest formulas, make pivot tables and charts, and even help with Python code for deeper analysis.
PowerPoint’s got two new tools: Narrative Builder for drafting presentations from text, and Brand Manager for using your company’s templates.
Word’s Copilot can now use info from your emails and meetings to help with your documents.
OneDrive’s Copilot helps you find and summarize info in your cloud files.
In Teams, Copilot can tell you if there were any unanswered questions in a meeting.
Outlook has a new “Prioritize My Inbox” feature that lets you tell it what topics matter most to you.
So there you have it, folks! Microsoft’s really going all out to make our work lives easier with these AI tools. It might take a bit to get used to everything, but once you do, it could make your workday a whole lot smoother. Ready to give these new Copilot tools a whirl?
